Christmas has changed in so many ways over the past 30 years of my life. There was a time when I walked in my childhood home on Christmas Eve and you could feel the love in the air. Those years have long passed. We have lost some of the rocks that hold our family together. We've lost mothers, grandmothers, brothers, etc. Things change so much as time passes. Just like they said it would but when you're young, you think you know it all. Why is that? Why do we believe that our few years on this earth has blessed us with more wisdom than those who have experienced more? I often wish I had listened more but I guess it's my experiences and mistakes that make me who I am today. I've learned that Christmas is definitely a time to share with family. Be thankful for one another, be thankful for every minute that you have together, and most of all be thankful for our Savior who has blessed us with another Christmas and with each other.
Merry Christmas & God Bless!!!!

Stupid decisions
I don't know if its our egos that betray us or if we simply convince ourselves of what we want to believe.
I know I've been a victim of myself but I wish I knew how to lead the youth of our community down a different path than the one I chose for myself but I'm I'm sure there was probably someone along my way that tried to sway me as well.
It's just a shame............

Seconds
Life is passing by us each minute, each second. We can't even hold on to the present. We spend the present planning for the future & once we reach what we've planned for, it's already the past. It is so important to make the most of each second, otherwise its just a waste of time. The most valuable gift in life is each & every second because as quick as they come, they go..........

Miss Christine Bass
I attended Miss Christine's funeral tonight and it was one of the most joyous, uplifting, spirit filled events I've ever experienced. Her "Life" was a tribute to our Lord & Savior and her "funeral" was a glory to Him tonight. I pray that in time I will become HALF the woman she was at her lowest moment.
I remember in her smile, I found love & correction. Her hugs were wrapped up in compassion, understanding & security. Her backbone was stronger than any man's muscle. Her words were reinforcement to follow the path of the righteous and in her eyes you saw loyalty, kindness & strength.
Miss Christine Bass was my Sunday School Teacher, she was one of the inspirational women throughout my life in which I have great admiration. And IF you had the pleasure of knowing her, consider yourself blessed but most importantly, LEARN from the example she set forth with the life she was given.

The caregiver
I was sitting at a convenient store, waiting on the girls & happened to look in my rear view mirror to see a young woman (20 something) walking with (what appeared to be) her adult brother & sister. She was holding their hands as if they were children. It appeared as though they may have some sort of handicaps.
I couldn't help but wonder, what were their lives like? What struggles must they have gone through? We're their parents alive? Did she have help taking care of them? God must've made her a very strong young woman.
It's amazing to me how all of our lives can vary so dramatically. It also amazes me how we can feel sorry for ourselves and/or "poor mouth" when we have no idea how bad things could actually be. The big picture can sometimes be heartbreaking.

Life
Life is too short to spend it unhappy. Of course, there will be trials, heartaches & struggles because that's just part it but we have choices, (lots of choices). For this reason, always choose happiness when it is available as one of the choices.

Wasted time
Why do people get sooo caught up in such insignificant, petty issues? We have just one life to live & each moment is passing by so fast that we don't have time to enjoy it, time to appreciate every moment. Life happens while we're busy doing other things. Things like getting caught up in petty little insignificant dramas, he said, she said CRAP! There is a BIG, HUGE picture that so many people can't even see. Time is all we truly have & it is so very brief. Too brief to waste.
My insight
I have found that the first 3 to (maybe) 6 months of every relationship is the absolute best. Unfortunately, people get comfortable & start being themselves & we spend the rest of our relationship reminiscing of those first few months & trying to get back a speck of what we had. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
Something to think about;
Do you have a friend(s) who talk trash to "u" about "their" other friends? If so, what do u think they talk to "them" about when "ur" not around? TRUE friends are true to ALL their friends! #BewareOfWolvesInSheep'sClothing
Dr. Seuss
Ran across this today & loved it. Thought it was worth sharing.
